To celebrate the U.A.E.’s 40th National Day with our valued residents, Khidmah organized a fun-filled BBQ & Pool Party on December 10th at the Community Clubhouse.  With 24 adults & 49 children attended this wonderful gathering. Children participated in different pool games and enjoyed colorful ‘water slides’ and ‘banana boat floater’. The party was supervised by Khidmah lifeguards and spearheaded by the Clubhouse supervisor.

             
As soon as Chef Eric gave the go signal, families took their turns and filled their plates with wonderful BBQ! A great time was had by all!

           
We thank all the participants for making this event such a fun-filled day.

On November 25th and 26th, Golf Gardens hosted an art exhibition at the community clubhouse. Different artists showcased their paintings and other artwork. The event was attended by a good number of art lovers and many pieces found new homes!

On 31st October, our valued residents enjoyed a Halloween Party at Golf Gardens clubhouse! More than 70 children and 40 adults attended the event and celebrated this occasion with the fellow residents in fancy dresses and Halloween moods. Khidmah was thrilled with the excellent participation and marvelous response from children and parents.

                 
With their fancy costumes, children took turns for pictures with the “Witch’s Frame” which was offered by one of the Golf Garden’s families. They also took pictures with ‘Frankenstein’ and ‘Pumpkin’ inflatables. We thank Mr. & Mrs. Beran for graciously lending us these inflatables!

                
The children thoroughly enjoyed Halloween games and won different prizes. At the end of the event, 3 parents won gifts via a raffle draw and 9 children won ‘Best Halloween Costumes’ prizes.  La Brioche added fun to the event with their delicious menu. Residents also brought delicious food to share with other residents. Parents and children had a great time and were very pleased about the party. It was a fun filled evening with our valued residents! Khidmah thank all the residents who attended the event and made it such a success!

                

On October 14th, a Movie show was organized with an Inflatable Movie Screen at Golf Gardens Clubhouse. Event started with the participation of 21 children and 8 adults and they were shown “Ice Age 2” on a large Inflatable Movie Screen. Parents & children enjoyed the evening and look forward to future ‘movie nights’!

              

On June 17th, a Movie showing was organized utilizing an Inflatable Movie Screen at Golf Gardens Clubhouse. 

                          

The Event ran from 7:30pm to 12:30am and was enjoyed by 23 children and 13 adults. Participants were shown 2 movies, ‘Finding Nemo’ and ‘Avatar’ on a large Inflatable Movie Screen at the Swimming Pool, and residents enjoyed the moments while swimming and floating in the Swimming Pool.

On Thursday, the 9th of June, a charity lifestyle coffee morning was held in the Clubhouse to raise money to buy a wheelchair for a young paraplegic man in Romania.  He was desperate to regain a modicum of independence and maintain his dignity - he wanted a wheelchair which he could self-propel ... but sadly, could not afford one.  So a group of ladies from all over Abu Dhabi got together and organized the Charity Lifestyle Coffee Morning event to raise enough to buy a lightweight foldable wheelchair for him.

                        

20 vendors covering all aspects of 'lifestyle' arrived early to set up their stalls and by 08:30 business kicked off with early school-run mums looking for the best bargains:  fashion, jewelry, accessories, home-interiors, educational toys, cupcakes and homemade cakes, reflexology and beauty treatments - there was something for everyone!  The Clubhouse was a hive of activity throughout the morning! 

                         

La Brioche added to the good-feel factor by throwing open their doors to the customers and generously donating dozens of freshly baked croissants and muffins to the cause. 

The morning culminated in a raffle draw with prizes ranging from an Emily Gordon print, to manicures and pedicures compliments of Tips n' Toes and Eve Salon, to Bateel dates, to tickets for Ferrari World among others!  It was a hugely successful morning enjoyed by everyone and 'the icing on the cake' was that enough funds were raised to place an order for a new wheelchair.

                          

Huge thanks to the residents of Golf Gardens for making this event a great success.

In April, young residents of the community arranged for a Basketball tournament in coordination with Khidmah Clubhouse Management team.

                     

Teams:  The Underdogs, lead by Ameera Haider, and The Eagles, lead by her brother Ameer Haider, participated as 2 teams of the tournament.  Clubhouse Staff, Efren Saldo and Fatima Haider (a resident who has been playing basketball for 8 years and is a member of National Basketball Girls Club) volunteered to serve as referees. 

Score:  Underdogs won the tournament with the score of 56 – 45. A prize of AED 120 was awarded to the winning team.

In February, Golf Gardens’ residents were provided with a great opportunity to attend a world class Art Exhibition in the community. Event was attended by a great number of Art lovers. Residents and non- residents attended the event and appreciated the work presented by the artists.

                     

Mesmerizing work created by several artists of Fanaan Group, varying from paintings to multimedia graphics enthralled the visitors. Paintings were reasonably priced starting from AED 900 and were purchased by a large number of residents. We will be looking for ways to increase activities and involvement within the community.  Please watch for more information about upcoming events!

                          

Recently, Golf Gardens’ residents participated in the fun opening of Children’s play room in the Clubhouse. Opening held on 30th January, 2011. More than 45 attendees including children and adults enjoyed the time together.

  

Children enjoyed watching cartoons, singing rhymes and playing games with other children. Face painting and balloon twisting were the attraction of the day. Popcorn and refreshments were served. Parents were presented with a Cartoon DVD for their children to watch at home. Children were also presented with Face painting accessories.

   

To celebrate the U.A.E. National Day with our valued residents, Khidmah organized a fun-filled Pool Party on December 1st at the Community Clubhouse. The party was organized specially for young generation of the Community!



Children participated in different pool games and had fun with ‘Bouncing Castle’ ‘Floating Octopus’ and ‘Inflatable Water Slides’. The party was supervised by Khidmah lifeguards, spearheaded by the Clubhouse supervisor.
 


The event was so thrilling that kids just couldn’t get themselves out of the water and their parents couldn’t seem to hide the smile on their faces.
